I bought an iPad, a couple of years ago. It was right before the pandemic charged into our lives and changed the way we did so many things. Originally, I got it with the idea that I would use Procreate to help with designing printables for my Etsy shop. I also wanted to use it to help me study for my oral exams at the end of the semester.

It came in handy for Zoom classes that last semester, too. I was the only person in the program who took their orals via video call. Of course, I passed with flying colors.. And I proceeded to use my iPad to make printables, but not to write. You have to pay a monthly fee to Microsoft to access Word on an 11-inch iPad Pro.

It wasn’t until I decided to rededicate my time to blogging that I pulled out my cheap-o Bluetooth keyboard and utilize my iPad for writing. I can’t believe I slept on it this long. It’s portable, easy to carry, and super lightweight.

Now that I’ve started writing on my iPad, I’ve accrued a bit of a wishlist for a few needed accessories. They all have excellent reviews and seem good quality. These are things you need to work from home or things you need to write on an iPad. I thought I’d share this little wish list with others. It’s great if you’re starting out or even seasoned iPad users looking for new gear.

Keyboards

Logitech Wireless Multi-Device Keyboard ($29.99 USD at time of writing)

This keyboard has a 4.5 star rating and close to 20,000 reviews! Logitech is a good, trusted brand and I love that it’s affordable and has a dial to switch between multiple devices.

Cute Backlit Wireless Keyboard ($35.99 USD at time of writing)

A backlit keyboard is always a plus, especially if you’re a night owl like me. This one comes in cute colors and has great reviews.

Typewriter Inspired Wireless Keyboard ($54.99 USD at time of writing)

This one is more indulgent that the others, I’ll admit. It seems sturdy and would probably be better left in a stationary spot on your desk. But, wow. What writerly soul couldn’t pass up this thing without doing a double take?

Cases & Bags

Logitech Wireless Keyboard Case with Room for iPad ($15.79 USD at time of writing)

This Hermitshell brand case is specifically made to be compatible with the Logitech keyboard listed earlier. It has a protective cover for the keys and a pocket big enough to hold your iPad and notes or a charger. I really want this and the keyboard!

ProCase iPad/Laptop Sleeve Bag ($17.99 USD at time of writing)

This case is great for MacBooks and iPads. This specific case holds devices 12”-12.9”, so it should be big enough for your biggest iPad Pro. There should be more than enough room for your iPad and keyboard of choice.

Mosiso Laptop Shoulder Bag ($24.49 USD at time of writing)

I love a good shoulder bag. I’m thinking of buying this bag instead of the Hermitshell brand case for the Logitech keyboard. It helps that this bag also comes in my favorite color: purple!

What iPad accessories do you have on your wishlist? Do you own any of the ones I listed? Tell me all about it! I want your opinions in the comments!
